programme objectives

Foreclosure is a process which borrowers and property owners dread. For some however, distressed properties is an opportunity where one can buy up a relatively good investment as most distressed properties are usually sold below market value. Hence, having a general idea and overview of the process of foreclosure is beneficial to investors and property agents alike.

This seminar intends to introduce and provide the participants with an overview of the process of foreclosure. It intends to discuss the rights of the borrower (known commonly as the ‘chargee’) over the charge property and the process the charge will have to go through in order to sell the charge property. This seminar will also talk about the various issues which may arise in a foreclosure proceeding.

Upon the conclusion of this seminar, the participants will gain invaluable knowledge on various issues which include amongst others whether one can still sell his property after foreclosure proceedings has commenced and issues relating to auctions of distressed properties.
